Paul Tony Longland
The composer/songwriter/producer, Paul Tony Longland is currently residing in Swanage, located on Dorset's "Jurassic" coast, an area of incredible natural beauty and renowned for giving inspiration to creative people, musicians, writers, and artists, where he has set up a state of the art recording facility to produce world-class quality music productions of incredible diversity.
His professional base is London UK. Commuting regularly between these locations enables him to maximise the balance between the creativity and commercial integrity of his work.
Drawing on his valued experience as a top UK composer he is currently enjoying success as the writer and producer of the music for the major TV advertising campaign for Pantene Pro V Colour Essentials hair care product range. (Currently showing on all ITV networks and nine European countries). This key project was commissioned and coordinated by Jon Hall at Soho based music publisher Oomph Music.
Further demonstrating his musical diversity, he has successfully completed the production of tracks for Fransisca London's debut album for Miami based Sunshine Sound Records.

He was headfirst into the studio making credible and outstanding British House music when many luminaries around him were still busy getting to grips with their decks and justifiably continues to be widely regarded as one of the founding Heroes of the international dance music scene.
Almost twenty years on and UK house pioneer and Z Records head honcho, Dave Lee aka JAKATTA, JOEY NEGRO, AKABU, SESSOMATTO, DOUG WILLIS, RAVEN MAIZE, Z FACTOR, THE SUNBURST BAND, etc is still at the forefront of the global scene but still isn’t committing himself to just one name!
Universally acknowledged as the MASTER of all things DANCE-FLOOR and CREDIBLE, Dave, under the pseudonym of JOEY NEGRO, was one of the first producers to sample disco music on his cult house imprint Republic Records and was largely responsible for giving meaning to the term ‘disco house’. However with a production and musical repertoire as varied as his infamous aliases are numerous, he has provided a wildly diverse stream of club and chart essentials. So despite his taking cover under a string of different aliases, we can confirm that its our very own Mr Lee behind everything from the huge ambient hit American Dream (Jakatta), the much lauded jazz meets house project The Sunburst Band and current electro club stormers such as Akabu.
A hugely respected PRODUCER and REMIXER first and foremost, Negro uses his DJ’ing talents as a sound-bed for tweaking his musical creations to perfection. His work ethic is legendary, having been involved in well over 200 productions, countless albums, and a healthy stack of hit singles. An acknowledged expert in all things funk, soul and disco, he’s the helpful “consultant” depended on by radio and TV producers. This same encyclopaedic musical knowledge has also made him the choice arranger of compilations ranging from Generic current Dance (Defected In the House etc) to the specialist Disco, Funk and Boogie compilations his many fans feverishly collect.
He has worked with a GALAXY OF Huge STARS from Lionel Ritchie, Mariah Carey to Seal and his own productions have been used to promote everything from Sex In The City, Chanel perfume to Euro 2004 footie coverage. Indeed his latest massive club must-have Make A Move on Me was first used in North America to promote a rather famous rubbery kind of birth control after attracting the marketing supremo’s attention when it first aired on an episode of titillating lesbian drama the L Word.
As a DJ he strives to reflect his extensive love of a massive variety of quality music by playing the kind of eclectic and mind-blowing sets which showcase the many edits and updates of old tracks he’s become famous for. The real skill of Joey Negro though, lies in his ability to make these tracks mix in seamlessly and stand alongside the very freshest cuts in his box, making him a favourite at Festivals worldwide.
“I’m forever chopping up new records in the studio to make them work better in clubs – I can’t help myself – I want dancers to experience the very best highs a record has to offer, even if it means I have to spend a few days in the studio re-arranging something. I couldn’t be a producer without being a DJ and certainly DJ’ing would be a whole lot less fun if I didn’t get to tweak the music I was playing out.”
Not content with being the most commercially successful house producer in the UK (this is the man who has had more TOP 10 HITS than any other UK house producer after all), compiling and mixing endless successful compilations and running the heavyweight successful house label Z RECORDS, Joey Negro continues to play out all over the world and make records, simply because he enjoys it.
And while he is frequently on the move, he always has time to bring us more huge dance hits, such as the storming Akabu “I’m Not Afraid of the Future”, the electro-gizmo of Tamarra’s World “Trampoline”, and a proper house anthem in the making Sessomatto “You’re Gonna Love Me” . Legendary UK producer Dave Lee/ Joey Negro founded Z RECORDS back in '91, as the natural successor to his highly influential first label, Republic Records, which remains for many, the foundation stone of the UK house scene. It was on Republic, that Dave first introduced the UK to such classics as Phase II's “Reachin'” and Turntable Orchestra's “You're Gonna Miss Me”. These tracks nestled snugly alongside his own early productions such as Raven Maize's “Forever Together”, still viewed as an unfading classic house track to this day.
Using Z primarily as an outlet for his own material, Dave has continued to champion all things funky and soulful with a consistently high level of quality underground releases. The last few years has seen the label establish its own successful production complex which has given rise to huge electronic anthems such as Jakatta’s “American Dream” and Joey Negro’s “Make a Move on Me” among its many commercial hits. Indeed, Dave's prolific quality output on Z is matched only by the innumerable aliases he adopts, with Jakatta, Joey Negro, Sessomatto, Akabu, The Hed Boys, Doug Willis, Mistura, Z Factor and The Sunburst Band being some of the more popular ones.
Though Z and its sister production house (Z Productions) still continues to showcase the prodigious production talents of Dave Lee, the label has also featured the work of other respected luminaries such as Masters At Work, Blaze, Basement Jaxx, Erro, Copyright, Jazz’n’Groove, Bini & Martini, The Blackbyrds, Osunlade, Motif and Mark Knight.

Dave Spiers - Composer / Synthesist
Dave Spiers gained his experience playing keyboards and drums for the likes of Debbie Harry and Elvis Costello.
He is also a worldwide authority on vintage synths and also heads up development of synthesizer modeling software for G-Media and through this has contributed to film and video projects for Peter Gabriel and Underworld amongst others and as well as his TV composition he has recently scored the short animation film "Jungle Magic" (Freyart).

With almost 30 years experience in the music industry, Mike rose from DJ’ing to record retailing before being voted “Club Promotions Manager of the year”, 3 years running whilst working for Phonogram / London Records, influencing the careers of acts such as Cameo, RUN DMC and Shannon. Moving onto A&R at A&M Records, Mike worked with acts such as Janet Jackson, Barry White, Crystal Waters, Robert Clivilles & David Cole, Al Green and Arthur Baker.
Following the sale of A&M to Polygram, Mike moved into Music Publishing where he worked as Senior Creative Manager and then Head of A&R for BMG Music Publishing, later heading up DeConstruction Songs, Ministry Of Sound Music Publishing and V2 Music, signing and working with writers and acts such as X-Press 2, Rollo (Faithless / Dido), Mike Pickering (M People), The Grid, Death In Vegas, Steve Anderson (Kylie Minogue), Steve Robson (Take That, James Morrison), Shep Solomon (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson) and Metrophonic Music (Brian Rawling, Paul Barry & Mark Taylor).
Mike’s extensive experience in his Creative and A&R roles both for records and publishing put him in a great position to help artists, writers, bands and catalogue owners fulfill their potential and go on to achieve everything they set out to do. It's been lots of work putting our website together and we've been pushing the technical envelope of our designer Jimmy Young but he has responded brilliantly to every challenge we've thrown at him and we'll be confidently recommending his services to anyone, particularly if you are the Entertainment Business!

| ANDREW PHILLIPS Andrew Phillips is a BAFTA, Emmy and RTS nominated composer and producer, who has scored over 50 TV dramas, documentaries and features. His compositions and recordings are marked out by a superb blend of classical music and contemporary electronica, with highly original arrangements, recently seen in the BAFTA Award winning BBC drama Consenting Adults, starring Charles Dance. As a co-writer and producer he has worked with Slovo, One Giant Leap, and Passenger, which he formed with singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg in 2005 and are currently enjoying success with their album "Wicked Man's Rest" (IE) now enjoying success in the US. MIKE BENN Mike Benn has written music for numerous feature films, TV dramas, documentaries and adverts for the BBC,Channel 4 and the Discovery Channel, including, Looters, The Mummies Curse, Survival Of The Apes, Oprah Winfrey Show and the Archers advert amongst others. Just back from playing Hong Kong and the Far East Espion has a few live shows coming up and a set of dates in the USA, in addition to his DJ residencies - including Glasgow Soundhaus. We will be featuring some of Espion's new material on our new website but in the meantime checkout his myspace .
Glasgow based Stephen Arnold AKA Espion has been producing a variety of electronica styles since 1994.Multi instrumentalist, Espion has many years of experience in sound production and audio engineering for film and TV. As a DJ and live act, he has appeared worldwide alongside the likes of Rennie Pilgrem,Mekon, Bass Junkie and has had releases on Soma, Serotonin and Orson Records. He is currently the co-promoter and resident of Camouflage in Glasgow's Soundhaus venue.

Mike Sefton: With almost 30 years experience, Mike has worked in numerous areas of the industry including, Publishing, A&R, Promotions and Retail. These positions span both major and independent companies, amongst them, BMG, Phonogram/London, A&M, DeConstruction and Ministry Of Sound. He has been involved in the success of artists and writers as diverse as, Steve Robson (Rascall Flatts,Take That), Death In Vegas, Rollo (Faithless, Dido) Fluke, Janet Jackson, Tears For Fears and RUN DMC.
Chris Bangs: Writer, producer, DJ, Chris' career spans the last 2 decades, during which he has crammed in working alongside such luminaries as, Paul Weller, Linda Clifford, Galliano and Mick Talbot as a writer/producer, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong and Gilles Peterson as a DJ and as a musical trendsetter with his invention of "Acid Jazz", Chris was responsible for many of the early recordings on Talkin' Loud, Acid Jazz, Wall of Sound, 2 Kool and various other innovative record labels.
